Concrete Scan Project at World Trade Center in New York City, NY
Project Description:
This project was performed by our technicians at the WORLD TRADE CENTER in New York City, NY. In certain active/finished sections of the building, AG Inc. had to use tape and labeling systems to mark out all of the findings. We adapt to any situation to meet our clients’ needs.
The focus of the investigation was to scan concrete using the GSSI concrete GPR, for reinforcements, utilities, and rebar in the slab. In addition, all utilities running in and beneath the concrete structural slab needed to be marked out and identified for the client. 3D grid scans were performed, recorded, and collected around various sections of the building.
In these photos, AG Inc. demonstrates that not only do we have the best equipment available on the market for any job application, but we are also always using the provided “clues” on-site, to calibrate our tools every day, in real-time, for the most accurate data-collection possible. Precision matters in an industry that does not forgive errors or mistakes.
The RD8000 (radio frequency pipe and cable locating tool), was used to identify and orient any utilities in or beneath the concrete structural slabs.
Our clients at the World Trade Center were very pleased with the information we were able to provide them with our state-of-the-art tactics and equipment.
